I had the pleasure of stopping by Mrs. Johnson's classroom at Stone Creek Elementary School, around Christmas time. I know a guy that knows a guy, that knows Santa Claus.

We listened to music, played games, and celebrated the holiday season. While Mrs. Johnson put on a huge smile and celebrated, this holiday has been a tough one for her.

On November 30th 2017 Eric Johnson was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.  He began his fight to beat cancer immediately undergoing invasive chemo treatments weekly. Eric was able to continue working almost everyday without skipping a beat even though he may have felt awful in those times.  In early December of 2018 things started to get a lot more serious for Eric and in December 2018 Ann and Eric paid a visit to The cancer centers of America in Zion IL.  Eric and Ann were informed here that there wasn’t much else they could do with Eric and were giving him months to live.  After receiving this devastating news Eric and Ann planned a family vacation with their entire family with the help of an amazing organization called Pink Heals.  On Christmas Day they were all set to enjoy some quality time. Eric woke that morning extremely sick and was then hospitalized for more than a week.  Although he is home now he has not and will not return to work.  They will have mounds of hospital bills and any help you can give the family is greatly appreciated.

Ann Johnson is one of those people, that the very first conversation I had with her (or she had with Santa) I knew she was special. If you would like to help her and her family out, CLICK HERE.
