Brittany Patterson nominated Dana, she writes,

Please consider Mrs Knoerle as teacher of the week. She exemplifies and goes beyond what a true teacher is. She has been the best kindergarten teacher my daughter could ask for and has really helped her build her confidence over this past year and come out of her shell! She has gone above and beyond this year with her students and making them all feel included even with their differences. One student had a medical scare earlier in the year and was hospitalized. Mrs. Knoerle drove to Madison to visit her student in the hospital and brought him supplies so he could Skype and be included in the class Christmas party. Another student in her class has a cochlear implant and has incorporated the kids using sign language with the ABCs to make all feel included. I am so grateful to be a parent of a child in her class and hope the joy, equality, inclusiveness, caring, and love shown daily carries on with my daughter and these students forever. Thanks, Mrs. Knoerle, for who you are and all that you do! You deserve to be recognized for your greatness!
