Lifeguard Fired After Getting Caught Sleeping On The Job [VIDEO]

A lifeguard is looking for a new job after she was caught sleeping while on the clock.

The woman in the video, taken at a beach in Gary, Indiana, was confronted by a man who says that he too was a former lifeguard.

During the confrontation the sleepy lifeguard was videoed laying on the beach in pants and socks. Which turns out, is not ideal lifeguard gear.

The man in the video told the lifeguard that "he was a lifeguard for five years...aren't you supposed to be watching the water?"

According to NBC Chicago, LaLosa Bent Burns, the director of communications for Gary, called the lifeguard’s actions “inexcusable” and said she has been fired. "It's inexcusable conduct and we addressed the situation as soon as we became aware of it,” he said.

The woman in the video has since been fired from her lifeguard position.
