Local Diner Lands on Illinois’ Greatest Restaurants for Takeout List

I have to give Only In Your State some major props today, because when it comes to the "best of" things, they really know their stuff; I love seeing the places that I frequent land on their lists.

First, The Standard was listed as having on the "Best Rooftops in Illinois;" and now they've named my favorite diner as one of the 11 mouthwatering restaurants to get takeout.

Only says "Since 1962, Gill's Diner has been serving classic diner favorites. You'll see many familiar dishes on their carry out menu; it is absolutely massive. "

What they forgot to mention was that they have amazing breakfast and an incredibly nice staff. My boyfriend and I are always greeted with a smile and because we go every weekend they tend to know when we miss a Saturday or Sunday from time to time.

I even went there for my birthday breakfast.

Whether you're eating in or dining out, Gill's Diner has mouthwatering food any time.
