Look Inside This Beautiful Abandoned Church Found in Northern Illinois
One of the things I never understood about abandoned places is the amount of stuff left behind.
Like, did you find out you needed to leave immediately?
Last week, I shared a video of an abandoned Chicago Police station and there was just stuff everywhere. Binders, wanted posters, and just about everything you can imagine just straight up left behind.
So that abandoned Chicago Police station will remain a mystery, and it looks like I have to add to it after seeing this new video.
Shared by Decaying Midwest on YouTube, and titled Exploring an Abandoned Catholic Church in Northern Illinois with Everything Left Behind.
First, as a Rockford area resident, I have absolutely no clue where this church is and it totally bothers me, and two, why you got to leave everything behind, church?
Yep, the way this church looks abandoned one of two things happened; either the entire congregation including the priest, etc. all decided to get up and leave in the middle of mass and go to another church or, everyone there was "Blipped."
Damn you, Thanos!
The other thing could be that the floor in the middle of the church is caving in, Yikes!
I didn't think it was too awful until one of the YouTubers went into the basement and you could see how bad it was dipping.
The video is only five minutes long, relatively short when you consider the length of most urbex excursions.
There was some chatter about the police showing up or they got really unnerved by the floor and seemed to get in and out pretty quickly.
