Looks Like Joe Maddon Has Found His Next Job

This feels different than when it was just speculation. 

We've known for a while now that Joe Maddon was probably not going to be the Cubs manager for the 2020 season. I thought I had come to terms with it. I love Joe. He absolutely had his flaws but for the most part, I think he was the perfect fit for a young team that was on the verge of greatness. He did his 5 years in Chicago and now it was time to move on.

I thought I was ready to just move on. But then I heard that he was actually going on interviews and was probably going to be the Angels manager by week's end. I equated it to going through a mutual breakup with a girlfriend and then feeling that twinge of jealousy when she starts dating other guys. It looks like the date went well and now Joe and the Angels are getting married.

Treat him well Anaheim, at least better than we did down the stretch.
