Loves Park’s Young at Heart Fest Cancelled for 2019

The annual Young at Heart Festival will not be held for 2019.

Each Memorial Day weekend, the Rockford area looks forward to the Young at Heart Festival, which has now been canceled for 2019.

13 WREX is reporting that the festival is suspended due to, 'declining attendance, financial loss, and safety concerns because of the active construction zone at the festival grounds.'

They share the history of the fest, that it has been an annual event in Loves Park since 1972, and that there will still be a parade and fireworks next year even without the festival.
