Well, that was fast!

The surreal Urban Myths episode about Michael Jackson, Marlon Brando and Elizabeth Taylor has been axed, a spokesperson for Sky Arts, the company behind the show, announced on Friday, January 13.

The decision to cut the controversial British episode comes as a response to considerable backlash over Joseph Fiennes' questionable portrayal as Jackson—one of the most iconic and beloved black entertainers in the world—including the criticism of his daughter, Paris Jackson.

"We have taken the decision not to broadcast Elizabeth, Michael and Marlon, a half hour episode from the Sky Arts Urban Myths series, in light of the concerns expressed by Michael Jackson’s immediate family," Sky’s statement reads. "We set out to take a light-hearted look at reportedly true events and never intended to cause any offense. Joseph Fiennes fully supports our decision."

After footage from the episode was released earlier in the week, Paris expressed her disgust over the portrayal of her late father on Twitter, writing, "I’m so incredibly offended by it, as I’m sure plenty of people are as well, and it honestly makes me want to vomit."
