We've been looking for something to do for about two months.

Looks like things might be starting to change, and that's a good thing, right?

Last weekend, the McHenry Drive-In opened for the season showing a couple of classic flicks, and apparently the line to get in was a mile long.

That just shows how hungry we are for something to do. That's why it's great to see Sterling's Midway Drive-In has announced a classic double feature for their opening night on May 22.

Opening May 22, the classics “GREASE” (1978) and “FERRIS BUELLER'S DAY OFF”. We are implementing advance ticket sales for the Midway! Advance internet ticketing with barcode scanner verification at the ticket booth will eliminate the need to handle cash or credit cards, and will also allow you to avoid a sell-out when you arrive at the Midway.

They will sell advance tickets on their website, themidwaydrivein.net. The post also mentions the Midway will include some weekday movie showings as well.

The Midway does follow up the release with "additional policies to increase your convenience and peace of mind will be announced soon."

The drive-in is the perfect social distancing activity we need in 2020. Now, if we can avoid lines at the concession stand, which I'm sure is coming, we'll be all set.

Just a thought, a remote ordering system, a golf cart, and popcorn delivered straight to my car would make for a perfect night at the drive-in.
