If you've driven anywhere near Spring Creek or North Alpine over the last few months, you've definitely seen the giant, neon sign I'm talking about.

I drive down Spring Creek for work every day and as of recently, a ton of neon pink signs have popped up in the area searching for a missing dog.  I need to know if it's been found!  Do you know?

On the signs, the only information they give are "lost small tan dog", a contact number, and "do not chase".  That's kind of challenging to know what kind of dog we're keeping an eye out for without more information or a recent photo.

I've seen the signs as far as N. 2nd Street and Y Blvd in downtown Rockford.  My mom saw some by Charles Street, too.

So here are a few questions I have because now I'm invested in finding this pup!

  1. What's the dog's breed?
  2. What's the dog's name?
  3. What area of Rockford did it originally go missing?
  4. Does it have any unique markings or spots?
  5. Does it have a collar?  If so, what color/design is it?
  6. Is the dog friendly or should we be cautious when approaching?
  7. Has it run away before - if so, where was it found?
  8. Is the dog chipped?

& my #1 question: Has the dog been found yet?!  Signs are still up so I assume no.

I called my mom to ask if she knew anything and she was wondering the same thing.  We would love to know if this pup has been reunited with its family!  If you have any idea, let me know so I can put my questions to rest!
