COOL! Illinois Adult Campground Just Named One of Most Unique Hotels in US
On a list of the most unique hotels, inns, lodges, and adult summer camps, these nearly 100 acres in Illinois are pretty special and I'll bet you didn't know they existed.
If the getaway you want to plan is to experience wilderness but are not the least bit interested in really roughing it, if you want to be under the stars every night, and in a king-size bed...
Here's your spot!
How Do You Define Roughing It?
I wasn't raised by outdoorsy parents who camped and spent time in the wilderness. I do love a good hike and a forest, I also enjoy a good day spent on a lake or river and I have always loved sitting around a fire, but I like a comfortable hotel room or rental at the end of the day.
My idea of roughing it is when the hotel's pool is outdoors.
That was always my motto. I've changed a bit over the years, but still need some modern conveniences and coverage when off the beaten path. Thanks to Thrillist's Most Unique Hotels In Every State (and DC) list, I know exactly where to book a trip.
