New Illinois BBQ Joint Serves Turkey Legs Almost as Big as Your Head
When it comes to good eats, the bigger the better.
How could you go wrong attempting to eat something as big as your head, right?
So here's the deal, last weekend I had the chance to dine out at a brand new restaurant in the Rockford area.
Located in Byron, It's called The Deaf Pig and the truth is, you really need to give it a try.
If you're looking for a reason why, might I suggest getting your hands (if they're big enough) on this giant turkey leg they have on the menu?
When I had enough turkey, I moved on to the Italian Sausage and Pepper Cheesesteak Sandwich.
That's not all though, there are plenty of different options for the meat eater in the family that include brisket, ribs, and more.
The brisket is so good, that my buddy JB Love at Q98.5 called it "the best brisket" he's ever had adding "It was so unbelievably tender, so juicy, and is making me drool just thinking about it.”
Do you want to know what's low-key good besides the turkey leg and the sandwich I previously mentioned? The collared greens.
Don't sleep on those at The Deaf Pig. They're a perfect side for a gigantic turkey leg or a sandwich or ribs. Basically anything.
As far as the word on the street, normally I share with you opinions from other diners but The Deaf Pig is so new there have been zero published reviews. My suggestion, check it out at let us know what you think.
The Deaf Pig is located at 120 North Union Street in Byron.
