New Report Reveals Rockford Drivers As Best In Illinois
A new report from a major insurance company shows Rockford residents are the best drivers in Illinois.
Allstate Insurance ranked Rockford 51st overall, with other Illinois cities like Joliet (56th), Naperville (60th) and Aurora (71st) not far behind.
Madison, Wisconsin, just an hour north of Rockford almost took the top spot, coming in as the 5th best. Des Moines, Iowa, Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Akron, Ohio were the only other cities in the midwest to fare better than Rockford on the list.
In case you're wondering, Chicago was ranked 129th. The Best Drivers Report ranked Brownsville, Texas as best in the U.S. while Baltimore, Maryland came in at 200.
Allstate says, "The report analyzes the 200 largest cities from the U.S. Census Bureau's Annual Estimates of the Population for Incorporated Places over 50,000, measured for 2016 as of July 1, 2017. In prior years, neighboring cities that shared ZIP codes also shared rankings."
