New Website Offers Fast-Track to Rockford-Area COVID-19 Vaccines

To get the shot, or not to get the shot, it's a tough decision for many people these days. To further the COVID-19 vaccine frustration, signing up for an appointment to get the shot can be down-right confusing as well. So many places are offering them, but where do we sign up? Where can I get it the fastest?

I must admit that the confusion of the best places to get an appointment prevented me from registering to get the COVID-19 vaccine until a little over a week ago. Yesterday I got my first dose, and I realized that the whole vaccine process was a lot less complicated than I made it out in my head to be.

For anyone still wondering the best way to get a COVID-19 vaccine appointment,  Winnebago County Board member Angela Fellars just made the process a whole lot simpler.

According to the Rockford Register Star, Fellars recently enlisted the help of some web designers to create a 'one-stop shop' for COVID-19 vaccine registrations in Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin. The RRStar article says;

It works very similar to how you would book a hotel room or airline flight online," Fellars said. "One way to do that would be to go to every single airline's or every single hotel's website and search individually for the room and rates. Or you can go to one website that does those searches for you.
