Northern Illinois Town Among the State’s Safest

SafeWise just released their 5th annual Safest Cities Report, and the place I call home, made the list.

Illinois was previously excluded from this Safest Cities report due to incomplete reporting crime to the FBI. Now, SafeWise has ranked the 50 safest cities in Illinois. What feels best is that Illinois' violent crime rate is higher than the national average so all 50 of these towns and cities should feel good about their records for safety.

The safest city in the Prairie State is Campton Hills, a far west suburb of Chicago in Kane County.
