Some people may joke that Illinoisans know summer is here, or almost here, when their favorite ice creams shops open for the season, but to me, a sure sign that warmer days are coming is when I see announcements like this...

Better get your taste buds ready now, because one of the Stateline area's favorite BBQ joints is opening for its 2022 season on April 7th!

Now, I may be extremely partial to Smokin' Coop BBQ Pit in Belvidere, Illinois because of all they do for St. Jude kids, but seriously, their pulled pork is to die for! (No joke, I had a dream recently where I was at a party eating it, so obviously, I'm excited Smokin' Coop is opening soon).

If you've never been to Smokin' Coop BBQ Pit before, first off, how dare you?

Not only is Smokin Coop's food finger-licking delicious, but there's just something so special about enjoying a pulled pork sandwich, (that someone else perfectly made), outdoors on a beautiful afternoon or evening.
