How many months have we been waiting for live Rockford IceHogs hockey action to return to the BMO Harris Bank Center? Too many to count? You've lost track? Me too!

Well, if your hockey-loving family has been counting down the days until opening night for the Rockford IceHogs, sadly, you'll have to add one more day to that countdown.

According to icehogs.com;

 The American Hockey League today (Thursday) announced that due to the AHL’s COVID-19 protocols, the Cleveland Monsters will be unable to travel to Rockford for their games Friday and Saturday.

The Chicago Wolves have replaced Cleveland as Rockford’s opponent on Saturday, Feb. 6. Game time is 3:00 CT.

So...the good news is; hockey will be returning to Rockford's BMO Harris Bank Center this weekend, it will just be one day later and against a different team. Here are the official schedule changes made by the AHL:

POSTPONED: AHL Game #6 - Cleveland at Rockford from Fri., Feb. 5 to TBD
POSTPONED: AHL Game #12 - Cleveland at Rockford from Sat., Feb. 6 to TBD
ADDED: AHL Game #391 - Chicago at Rockford - Sat., Feb. 6, 3:00 CT

If you really want to catch all the IceHogs action live, but you REALLY don't want to brave this weekend's cold to do it,  don't forget you can watch the game live on  AHLTV and 23.2 Antenna TV WIFR. You can also listen to the game live at icehogs.com or on the IceHogs app.
