Is It Time For One More Patrick Kane Reunion?

As much as I love the Chicago Blackhawks, they haven't been on a great run.

It's obvious, they haven't been in the playoffs since 2019-2020, when they were in a COVID-shortened season and got dumped in the first round.

It's been 11 years since they last won the Stanley Cup, and just as long since they won a playoff series as well.

There are reasons for hope, mostly surrounding young star Connor Bedard, who could be ready to take off this coming season, but how great would it be for him to have some veteran leadership?

Looking online, I saw that Patrick Kane is a free agent after his time with the Detroit Red Wings and appears to be looking for a new team. Kane is now 38 and might be the perfect person to lead Bedard and this new version of the Blackhawks to the promised land.

That said, Patrick Kane isn't getting any younger and might be on the lookout for a team that is in more of a "win now" mode, so the chances aren't so great, but it's worth considering.

Kane in a Blackhawks uniform one more time would bring back some serious nostalgia for fans and would get people excited for the upcoming season.
