As COVID-19 concerns increase and more are becoming ill, Gov. J.B. Pritzker plans to issue a "shelter-in-place" order today. Essentially commanding residents to stay home.

Details are still being worked out but will be announced during a Friday afternoon press conference at 3 p.m. according to the Chicago Tribune.

Grocery stores, gas stations, pharmacies will still be open. As well as all local roads, interstate highways, and tollways. Going outside for a walk will still be permitted but obviously they are asking unless its an emergency to stay put.

More details will be available this afternoon.
