Rapid Vaccination Teams Are Poppin’ Up All Over the Rockford Area
Now that COVID-19 vaccine eligibility has opened even further in Illinois, the 'get vaccinated' plan is really in high gear.
I have an appointment this Wednesday to get my first dose of the vaccine through SwedishAmerican, and I just registered to get it this past weekend on the Winnebago County Health Department's website. I went to a medical appointment yesterday for a totally un-COVID related issue, and the doctor asked me if I had my vaccine yet. My point in bringing all this up is; if you haven't made a decision yet when it comes to getting, or not getting, the COVID-19 vaccine and you have a doctor's appointment coming up, be prepared to answer that very important question.
More COVID-19 vaccines are available right now in Illinois, so to make sure all interested Illinois residents get the shot as quickly as possible, the State is sending several rapid vaccination teams all over the Rockford area. Many of these vaccination sites will be open for one day only, so do what you need to do now to insure you get an appointment:
- Winnebago County: 1321 Sandy Hollow Road or New Zion Baptist Church at 4747 W Riverside Blvd. in Rockford. (Open daily by appointment only, get registered here).
