A 36-year-old woman is accused of stealing an ambulance in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, about 90 minutes from Rockford.

The incident occurred last week in the wee hours of the morning, at 1 a.m., when things like this usually happen.

Strange Dispatch Radio Calls and a Police Pursuit

According to the complaint, the woman allegedly made several different strange transmissions over radio dispatch. Here are a couple of doozies:

• "I'm hungry."
• "Do you guys have any food in there?"

When she was pulled over, a police officer approached the ambulance thief, and she asked, "Are you following me or am I following you?" and then drove away from the cops again.

Bizarre Details Emerge as Suspect Faces Competency Hearing

Officers eventually caught up with her, but this time they found the woman behind the wheel completely naked, telling officers her dress was in the back of the ambulance.

Before being taken into custody, the woman was allowed to grab her dress.

Attorneys for the ambulance-stealing Wisconsinite have asked for a competency hearing while bond has been set at $200.
