Rockford Area Trick Or Treat Times 2023

This year, Halloween falls on a Tuesday and trick-or-treat times across northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin are spread over 3 different days.

Let the debate continue on the 'best' day for the big Halloween candy grab.

For the last couple of years, there has been strong debate regarding when to do the traditional trick or treating, should it be on the actual holiday, October 31st, or on the Saturday before Halloween? This year, Halloween is on a Tuesday. Most communities scheduled trick-or-treating on October 31st, but there are a few towns that chose Saturday the 28th ~~and even two towns that chose Sunday the 29th~~.

I'm a fan of doing it on the Saturday before Halloween. My two youngest children love this night and I love staying up late with them to celebrate Halloween but getting up very early for work the next day is a challenge.
