Rockford Area UPS To Hire 1,200 Seasonal Employees

UPS is hiring 100,000 people to help out during the holidays.

Better yet, if you've been out of work, seasonal employees end up continuing to work with UPS 35% of the time on a permanent basis and 1/3 of their entire workforce actually started out as seasonal but went full-time after.

Rockford UPS is hiring 1200 people for seasonal employment as the holiday rush for packages gets underway, and yes, despite everything else in 2020, there's still going to be Christmas.

They need over 1100 package handlers, 8 car drivers, and 2 tractor-trailer drivers.

Pay for package handlers starts at $14.50/hour and $21.50 for the driver jobs.

These seasonal jobs are great for college students with UPS doling out up to $1300 toward college expenses as long as they stick around for three months. They also provide up to $25,000 in tuition assistance if the employee becomes full-time/permanent.

There have been so many wrongs in 2020, but if you're looking for the right and the light at the end of the tunnel, and maybe want to make a few bucks, and by chance parlay that into a full-time gig, UPS could be just for you.
