Every city has its own personality, and Rockford is no exception.  It's a place where we have tons of local restaurants, events, markets, and famous landmarks, like The Symbol at Sinnissippi!  If Rockford ever launched a cruise ship, it wouldn't be your average vacation, that's for sure.

It would be packed with things that make this community one-of-a-kind, really.  Maybe the buffet could include hometown favorites, with local cover bands performing, too!

Whether you've lived in Rockford your whole life, or you're just proud to call Rockford home, there's something so fun about imagining what a floating version of the city might look like.

If Rockford Had Its Own Cruise Ship, What Would Be On Board?

  • Late night local food trucks / Uncle Nick's
  • Mrs Fishers potato chips shop
  • Performances by Cheap Trick
  • Sock Monkey Souvenir Shop
  • Lots of slot machines
  • The Symbol and Rockford Rockmen Museum
  • Swedish Pancakes at the buffet
  • Ice rink with Hammy the Hog

Obviously, this list is all for fun, but it is interesting to think about what a Rockford cruise ship would look like.  There's totally enough happening around here that we could build our own ship, no doubt.  Let's just leave the car washes behind... that's all I ask.  We wouldn't need them on a cruise anyway!
