One of the best ways to thank people for their hard work and dedication is with food.

It's the truth, I'm a sucker for a free meal and I'll take some free food as a thank you any day of the week.

So it makes sense that the Key Club from Boylan High School in Rockford is setting up a fun way to say "thank you" to all first responders in Rockford by organizing a "First Responder Donut Drive-Thru."

It's a simple as hopping in the car this Sunday and heading over to Boylan between the hours of 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. to scoop up some free eats.

Just be sure to bring your badge and you're all set.

The big question is what do you pair with your "middle of the day donut?" Just a glass of milk or a cup of coffee?

The second biggest question? What kind of donuts do you go for? Longjohn, Chocolate Frosted, Glazed, Strawberry, or something else?

Either way, it's the kind of gesture Rockford area residents have come to expect from the dedicated students at Rockford Boylan's Key Club.
