There are bakeries far and wide in Illinois; there is nothing better than a deliciously warm just made donut off the racks.

If you haven't heard of Stan's Donuts by now, you should probably plan the pilgrimage because Taste of Home says they make the best donuts in The Land of Lincoln.

With locations as far west of Chicago as Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, up north at Mariano's in Vernon Hills, and south in Orland Park, Stan's Donuts is all over the city of Chicago and plenty of its suburban areas.
