Rockford Laundromat Hosting Free Laundry Night for RPS205 Students
It's time to teach your kids how to do laundry and save some cash while you do it!
True story... I didn't know how to do laundry until I was in college.
My mom made me pink notecards and I waited until I had zero clothes left.
I was standing in the laundry room with hot pink pajama pants, a bathing suit and a white tank top on staring at my cards when a kid named Dusty walked in. He looked at me for five seconds and said, do you need help?
Yes. I needed help.
Maybe we needed a night like this where I grew up!
According to Stateline Kids, 5 Alarm Coin Laundry is again hosting their free laundry nights to help teach kids how to do their own laundry.
Molina Healthcare of Illinois and the Rockford Police Department. are helping to put this event on, Wednesday nights from 4-7pm at the laundromat on West Riverside.
There aren't too many rules, the article does state that:
Students are able to wash and dry two loads of laundry each week. Laundry detergent, bleach, and dryer sheets are provided at no cost
Most importantly, students must be there! So parents don't do your kids laundry anymore! This is the perfect excuse not only to teach them a skill, but take some time for yourself.
Two loads of laundry is at least two episode of Bridgerton.
