Naperville, Illinois native Bob Odenkirk (SNL) is set to play David Carr, who is quite possibly the most notable journalists in history who dies last year from lung cancer. His memoir, published in 2008, covers the darkest periods of his life including 20 years as a drug addict.

Shawn Ryan (The Shield) has been tasked with adapting David Carr's memoir into a six-part miniseries for AMC. While the project is currently in development, given Odenkirk's relationship with AMC on Breaking Bad and it's prequel, Better Call Saul, and Shaw Ryan's talent, you can expect this project to be greenlit.
