Rockford Now Has it’s Very Own Coloring Book

My birthday isn't until July, but that won't stop me from asking for an early birthday present; heck, I'll probably go and pick this up today- The "Real.Original. Rockford Coloring Book."

Yep, the Forest City now has it's very own coloring book and it's a must-have if you're a true Rockfordian. Get one for you and the kids because in case you haven't noticed, coloring has made a huge comeback and it's no longer just for the kiddos; even Justin Bieber has jumped on the adult coloring book bandwagon. See, told you coloring was cool.

And that's exactly what this coloring book is- totally cool, because this coloring book is filled with Rockford landmarks, symbols and local attractions and all the drawings in the book were done by local artists.

The book is $4 and you can pick one up at the Rockford Area Convention & Visitors Bureau office at 102 North Main or at any of the venues featured in the book, like the Coronado.  One dollar from the sale of each coloring book will go toward the bureau's Forest City Beautiful initiative, which allows the bureau to keep downtown Rockford looking pretty.

Who else can't wait to get one of these? I know what I'm coloring first- a sock monkey.
