There's no crying in baseball, especially when you're a Rockford Peach.

Well before I ever heard of the town called Rockford, I was a little softball loving girl glued to the TV watching Geena Davis, Rosie O'Donnell and Madonna play baseball in "A League of Their Own."

As I write this I can hear the little boy say, "you're gonna lose," and watch Tom Hanks battle with Geena Davis to get the team to pay attention to their signs.

Ugh, such a good movie.

One of the teams in the movie (and in real life!) was the Rockford Peaches. Even if you're really young and have never seen this awesome movie, I know you've been to Portillo's and you've seen their Rockford Peaches tribute on the side of the restaurant.

Over the weekend, some of those movie Peaches, and one real Peach, got back together and actually played a game of softball at the Bentonville Film Festival, for the second year in a row.

Geena Davis organized the event, but she wasn't the only movie player in attendance. I see Betty Spaghetti in that picture!

When Geena Davis was on "Grey's Anatomy," I thought she was looking old, but boy was I wrong! She looks almost exactly the same age as when she took the field as Dottie in the 1992 movie.
