It's unbelievable the kinds of things that people try to return to a store to get their money back. And these are probably just the tip of the iceberg.

A recent question hit Reddit and wgntv.com shared their favorite replies. The question was directed at Costco employees because they have a pretty loose return policy.

“What’s the most outrageous item that was returned at Costco?”

A woman tried to return a fish she had forgotten was in her freezer... for 13 years. They weren't going to return it until she threatened to call corporate, so they did.

Another man walked into Costco having purchased $200 of vacuum-packed steaks. He ate one and then returned the package with nothing in it but some fat and the bone. He was reimbursed.

One customer came in looking for a refund on a big safe they no longer wanted. They probably would've gotten it if the safe didn't reek of marijuana. Instead the police were called.

This last one I like because I wish I still had my boombox. This guy walks in with a 10-year-old Sony boombox and wanted to return it. He still had the receipt.
