Rockford Will Have a Bernie Sanders Campaign Office, Kind Of

Rockford will have a Bernie Sanders campaign office, but don't expect Bernie to pop by for a visit.

With the Illinois Primary a few weeks ago, campaign signs are popping up all over the place, and so are campaign offices. Currently, only Democratic Presidential Candidate Mike Bloomberg has an official campaign office in Rockford. That's not entirely the case anymore, per se. There's a new grassroots Presidential candidate office that will open in Rockford this week supporting Bernie Sanders, according to WREX.

Volunteers donated their time and money, and will open the office in the former Just Goods in Rockford's Midtown District at 201 S. 7th St. They say they will hold phone banks and canvassing events leading up to the Illinois Primary on March 17.

Rockford's NBC affiliate also reports Bernie's camp has no plans on opening an official campaign office in Rockford.
