Rockford Woman Charged With Strip Mall Fire
In March of this year, there was a fire in a Rockford strip mall. Police near the scene on patrol saw a woman , Rosie E. Bailey, standing on a corner by herself near the strip mall on School street. A few moments later, the officers noticed a fire from the corner of a nearby strip mall. It seems Rosie ended up being the main suspect. She has now been indicted according to the Rock River Times.
Arson is a felony and as of now if convicted she could face anywhere from 3 to 7 years in prison. As for the Criminal property damage, which is a misdemeanor, Rosie could serve up to another year in jail or probation. Rosie E. Bailey is currently being held in the Winnebago County Jail and she will be arraigned on April 25th.
