Rockford’s Most Scenic Eatery is One of Illinois’ Bucket List Worthy Spots
A brand new year is almost here and my brain is filled with all the things I didn't get to that I'm making a priority in the new year. Let's start with places to eat.
The activity that steals most of our focus at the start of a year is the exact opposite of what this story is about.
A New Year... A New You
Dieting and weight loss are the things we often start our year thinking about incessantly.
I propose a new way of thinking.
When being more mindful of what goes in our mouths and being consistent with exercise, 'cheat meals' become little celebrations along the way.
I've never cared for the term 'cheat meal', I prefer 'celebration meal'. You've worked hard and going to a great restaurant needs to be thought of as a celebration.
Best Restaurants to Try This Year
A travel website just put a list of restaurants together that we should visit in the new year and picked on for every month.
12 Bucket-List-Worthy Restaurants To Try In Illinois, One For Each Month Of The Year
One Rockford restaurant made the list and their food is just as spectacular as the view you'll have when dining.
Fresco at the Gardens
I couldn't agree with onlyinyourstate.com more, Rockford's Fresco at the Gardens is a MUST. Fresco is a breakfast, brunch and lunch spot located at 318 Spring Creek Road. That address is also the location of another one of Rockford's treasures that is loved around the world.
Fresco at the Gardens is located at Anderson Japanese Gardens.
Fantastic locally-sourced food and the most spectacular view.
The 12-month long list that features Rockford's Fresco added them to the list for the month of May. Spring time at Fresco is when you'll get to see so many beautiful flowers blooming all over the famous Japanese gardens. Be sure to visit Fresco's website and Facebook page.
