When in need, companies, and businesses step up to help.

The saying is true here in Rockford area too, where 815 3D Solutions is hoping to make 3D printed masks to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Aaron Mattingly, of Roscoe, and Jim Kelly, of Loves Park, are among a group of local 3D printing hobbyists who have joined more than 3,000 3D printer operators around the globe in making reusable antimicrobial masks.

The issue is the funding to produce the masks. 815 3D Solutions is looking for donations so they can make it happen.

815 3D Solutions created a GoFundMe to raise money.

We NEED to join in on the fight to reduce the impact COVID-19 could have on the U.S.  I urge everyone that is not protected by a mask to find one, print one, ask for one!!

Apparently, 815 3D Solutions has been taking orders for the masks, WREX says "38 masks have been ordered so far."
