4 Safest And Richest Places To Live In Illinois, Says New Study
The 30 Safest and Richest US Cities To Live in 2024
Guess what? Four suburban Chicago villages just made it onto a list of the 30 "safest and richest" places to live in the U.S. for 2024. Yep, Illinois strikes again, proving that we’re not just the land of deep-dish pizza, blizzards, and a questionable governor track record. We’ve got some fancy, crime-free spots too.
This new ranking, courtesy of GOBankingRates (your go-to source for financial guilt trips), crunched the numbers using data like average household income, total population, cost of living, crime rates, and other stats that make us regular folks feel inadequate.
So where do we stand? Oh, just three of Chicago's villages casually hanging out in the top five. And not to brag or anything, but Illinois claimed the #1 and #2 spots.
So, the next time someone asks what Illinois is good for, you can proudly say,
“Avoiding crime while swimming in cash… at least in these four villages.”
In the #1 Spot, Western Springs. A town of 13,557 between Hinsdale and La Grange.
According to the study, the average household income was $276,402, and the average single-family home value was $763,060.
