Say So Long to Summer Sunburns With…Shaving Cream? This Viral Tip Shows, Yes
If you're anything like me, a fair skinned "day walker" whose skin burns after being in the sun for a mere five minutes, you know how how agonizing the summer months can be.
You want to be outside on the boat with your friends, but four hours on the river ends up being four days in captivity; coating your body in aloe, moisturizer and bags of frozen peas for ice packs.
But that was last summer; this summer you're about to learn a new life hack that will save you money and time when treating your next sunburn.
According to Cindie Allen-Stewart, it's shaving cream. Gillette isn't just the best a man can get, it's the best your scorching skin can get, too.
In a viral Facebook post Cindie explains that any MENTHOL FOAM shaving cream will do the trick; you apply it for 30 minutes, then rinse and repeat the next day.
If you're wondering if this is legit or not, according to Inside Edition, dermatologists say it works because "if you look at the ingredients of shaving cream, it’s really a great moisturizer; it has a lot of coconut oil, coconut butter or derivatives of it. That’s actually what gives it some of its thickness and why you sort of lather it on."
Would you try it?
