Drivers Keep Messing Up at This Rockford Intersection

Rockford had to get an entirely restructured roundabout because none of us know how to drive.  Now, too many drivers are messing up at an intersection not too far from Main and Auburn Street.

Within the last several years, Rockford has become a city with terrible drivers.  Driving under the influencer, over the speed limit, recklessly, and many people drive like it's life or death to get to their destination (okay, going to the hospital is an exception).

We all need a refresher on how to drive.  Driver's Ed needs to be mandatory once we hit a certain age in adulthood.  I said what I said!

Not only have we forgotten the rules of the road, but now another intersection in Rockford has been tripping up a lot of drivers: Highcrest & Spring Creek Road.

Drivers Keep Messing Up at Highcrest & Spring Creek Road

If you know this area well, there are double traffic lights within feet of each other.  One at Highcrest and the other at Parkview.  It can get confusing seeing double lights, but if you're really paying attention, you'd know how to navigate them.

Here's where it gets confusing: as the light turns green for drivers on Parkview or Highcrest, without fail, someone on Spring Creek thinks their light has turned green because the second traffic light ahead of it is green.  This is where accidents almost happen.

As of lately, tons of drivers on Spring Creek take off thinking they're next to go.  It has been happening way too often and gets dangerous at times.  This causes traffic to suddenly halt or accidents to almost happen.

If you're at these intersections at any point, take a second before hitting the gas.  Make sure it's really your turn to go!
