Residents Can Get Into One of Illinois’ Best Attractions For Free Next Week
Tripadvisor has a list of the best family attractions in Chicago and the order was a little surprising, to be honest. I would love to know the parameters for how they concocted this list. 6 of the top 10, in my opinion, wouldn't be the most enjoyable for the entire family. According to their list, here are what they say are the 10 best things to do in Chicago with kids.
#1 Museum of Science and Industry
The Museum of Science and Industry is definitely worthy of being on this list.
#2 360 Chicago Observation Deck
If your kids are like mine they are terrified of heights, which means no fun for any of the family.
#3 Cloud Gate, #4 Millennium Park
These spots are fun and all... for a short time frame.
#5 Field Museum
The Field Museum is also worthy of being on this list.
#6 Wrigley Field
I'm iffy on Wrigley as a family activity only because baseball can be a lengthy sport to attend. However, Gallagher Way might be fun for the fam.
#7 Magnificent Mile
My only argument against being a top spot for families with kids is all the walking involved.
#8 Chicago Riverwalk
Chicago's Riverwalk could be fun with kids.
#9 Lincoln Park Zoo
This is a no-brainer, kids love zoos.
#10 Garfield Park Conservatory
Not pictured because I know for a fact my kids would be over it in about 7 seconds. In fact, this is one I don't know that I would include anywhere remotely close to the top 10 list for things to do with kids in Chicago. Did you notice a great attraction that isn't in the top 10 of this list by Tripadvisor?
How is Shedd Aquarium not on the list let alone in the top 3? It makes no sense.
The good news is Shedd Aquarium is bringing back their "free days" for Illinois residents again next week, June 27 and 28.
