Maybe it has something to do with the holidays, but someone is putting ducks on Jeep Wranglers across Rockford.

Actually, it has little to do with the Christmas season but solely exists just to make people smile.

It all started a few months ago, in Canada, where, let's face it, some of the kindest, and best people live.

Here's a great example, an Ontario woman named Allison Parliament who lives in Canada but works in Alabama. After traveling back to Ontario, Parliament got tested for COVID and quarantined for two weeks. Later, she went out and was accosted by a man who Parliament says it was due to her Alabama license plates.

The man grabbed her by the shoulders, swore at her, pushed her into her vehicle, and told Parliament to get out of Canada.

Instead of retaliating, Parliament and some friends bought rubber ducks and put them on someone's nearby Jeep.

The owner of the Jeep thought it was hilarious, posted it on social media, and the post went viral.

Want to "duck" a Jeep in Rockford? Here's how, MSN says "buy a small rubber duck, write a message or drawing on it – usually including the hashtag #duckduckjeep – and deposit it in or on a Wrangler."

It has been nearly four months since the initial ducking in Canada and it still looks like it's going strong, at least here in Rockford.

So while sure, it doesn't have anything to do directly with the holiday season, we all could use a reason to grin. If you see a Jeep Wrangler in Rockford, put a duck on it. You just might make someone's year.
