Question, has watching the Olympics left you feeling inspired and encouraged to become the next Simone Biles or Michael Phelps? Did you find yourself wondering what it would be like just to share the same pool with the most decorated Olympian in history? If you said "yes" you definitely aren't the only one and next year you could get your chance to take a dip next to the best swimmer in the world; and for a good cause.

According to ABC 7 Chicago, Special Olympics Chicago has invited Michael Phelps to participate in next year's Polar Plunge.

Executive Director, Susan Nicholl, says, "Now is the perfect time for Michael to make a splash in the city of Chicago, by taking part in the Chicago Polar Plunge. It would be a life-changing experience for our athletes, and an incredible example of the one of the world's greatest athletes giving back to other athletes. After winning five gold medals and one silver medal at the Rio Olympics, jumping into Lake Michigan is easy!"

No word on if he's accepted the invite, but we're hoping that retirement won't keep him from accepting. Perhaps we'll find out before registration opens this December.
