According to the fine folks at Wallet Hub you can have an amazing honeymoon in the U.S. for a lot less than traveling to Mexico or Jamaica.

The article says an average honeymoon costs $4,000. Coupled with paying back student loans, credit card bills and the enormous cost of a wedding, the honeymoon is just the icing on the (wedding) cake.
