I'm all about being outside and getting my tan on! My son loves being out and about, so we spend 99 percent of our day out in the sun. My neighbors are always side eyeing me because if I'm going to be outside, I want to get a tan, so I'm always out in a bikini top. Judge if you want, but I love the feel of the sun on my skin.

I know better. I have had precancerous spots removed before, and sadly I see some reappearing. Don't get me wrong, I do wear sunscreen. Between Liam and I, we probably use a bottle a week. But isn't sunscreen confusing to buy, or am I the only one that becomes completely confused as I'm in that aisle at the store?

Let me help you. Health.com says look for the words "broad spectrum protection" on the label. That means you'll be protected against U-V-A rays which cause cancer and wrinkles and U-V-B which cause sunburn. They suggest to use every 2 hours or after a swim, and make sure you're tossing out sunscreens more than 3 years old.

I hope I've helped you with the sunscreen confusion! Now, enjoy the sun...safely!
