Sweet Lenny’s 10 Must-Have Mobile Apps

I don't know where I'd be without my smart phone. I'd be even more lost without these must-have apps.

Ever since I discovered apps, I've realized just how much easier and less complicated my life has become.

I honestly can't imagine what it would be like to not have them around.

That said, I have about 10 that I need everyday. Some for fun, some for work and for the most part, just to stay connected.

1. Reddit

They don't call Reddit "The Front Page of the Internet" as a joke. It's a must have for anyone with a smart phone. I start most of my days with a heavy dose of Reddit.

2. AMC Theaters

I don't get out to the movies as much as I would like to but I always know what movies are coming out. The AMC app was rough in the beginning but has been upgraded nicely since it's initial launch.

3. Twitter

If you're not on Twitter you're missing out. It's not because the whole world needs to know you had eggs for breakfast but it's one of a few great ways you can keep up with what's happening in the world around you. That is, if you're following the right people.

4. YouTube

It's a must have for anyone that frequents news sites like Reddit. If you wanted to watch a video in a Reddit post and you don't have the YouTube app downloaded, it will play in the browser and seriously, who'd want to do that?

5. CBS Fantasy

I'm a fantasy football player. It makes being a Chicago Bears fan, well, bearable. I'm in four leagues on CBS Fantasy and while it's taken quite a while for the CBS Fantasy app to not be terrible, it looks like this year they may have finally figured it out.

6. Alarm Clock

The iHandy alarm clock is the best alarm clock app available. I had to purchase the app but it's well worth the coin, plus a quick shake turns the screen into a flashlight or nightlight if you're scared of the dark.

7. Instagram

Instagram is the answer to "what should I do with this picture now?" Put it on Instagram of course. While so many of my pictures seem to never make it there because I'm super lazy, if I could automatically dump the photo on Instagram after taking it I totally would.

8. Sleeperbot

This is a must have free app for anyone that plays fantasy football. The injury and hype updates have helped me land a couple of free agents that others in my leagues before anyone else.

9. Digit

This is an incredible app. Digit is a savings account app. Plain and simple. If you're like me, and have had trouble in the past saving money the old fashion way, Digit takes money out of your checking or savings account and puts into their very own Digit account. It's also runs on algorithm, so if you're light on funds, it will take just a little, if you have more cash than normal in your account, Digit will take a bit more.

10. 97 ZOK

Duh, how could I possibly not use the 97 ZOK app? It features all of our most recent Rockford-centric stories including funny videos and an easy link to listen to your favorite station while on the go. So easy, and the best part? It's free.
