Taco Bell is Getting Rid of Some Doritos Locos Tacos

Say it ain't so! As of Sept 12th Taco Bell is getting rid of nine menu items and yes, some Doritos Locos Tacos are going away.

I still recall when Doritos Locos Tacos were added to the menu how excited I was. Originally, I thought it would be a short lived thing, as is the case with novelty items, but it turned out that that the Doritos Locos Taco turned out to be huge seller for the taco chain.

As is the case with popular menu items, restaurants will often expand their offerings and try different things and recipes. Shortly after the original Doritos LocosTaco Bell introduce the Cool Ranch Doritos Taco along with some other varieties

All good things must come to an end...well at least 'some' good things. According to Thrilist.com, Taco Bell has announced that it will be pulling the following items off its menu:

• Fiery Doritos Locos Tacos
• Cool Ranch
• Beefy Mini Quesadilla
• Chips & Salsa
• Chipotle Chicken Loaded Griller
• Double Decker Taco
• Double Tostada
• Power Menu Burrito
• XXL Grilled Stuft Burrito

The good news is the original Doritos Locos Taco has been spared, but if you like, the Fiery Doritos Locos Taco or Cool Ranch Taco, you better get it now.
