The struggle continues for many food franchises as a company that owns many Pizza Hut locations in Illinois has reportedly filed for bankruptcy.

It's hard to say goodbye and that includes businesses, too. We asked you not that many moons ago about businesses in Missouri and Illinois that you would love to see make a comeback and your answers were many and interesting.

Well, that was a close one. After recent reports that a pizza chain with 22 locations in Illinois was nearing bankruptcy, they suddenly appear to be saved by a sale at the last possible moment.

A sign of the times.

The change will officially begin this month.

There's a brand new list of the wealthiest people in the world and Missouri has a new (sort of) number one richest person. This guy is so wealthy, he could afford to buy 3 billion candy bars and that's even allowing for inflation on chocolate.

I don't know about you, but I'm pretty happy when I find that I had $50 that I didn't know about. The concept of $5 billion dollars is beyond my math comprehension. That's the number that a car maker is reportedly investing in a Illinois plant.

It appears big changes are afoot for Walgreens as their leader just stated they're planning to close a large percentage of locations with that number likely topping 2,000. The question is how many Missouri locations will be affected?

I had never heard of this restaurant chain, but that will apparently be the exception and not the rule soon. One of America's fastest-growing restaurant chains suddenly has 3 Illinois locations and that looks like it might be increasing soon.

More stores are shutting the doors as folks are tightening the budgets.
