In a summer filled with misfires and box office disappointments, the horror genre has kept its head above the water. The Conjuring 2 crossed the $100 million mark. Lights Out was a gigantic sleeper hit. And now, Don’t Breathe has closed out August with a surprising bang, dethroning Suicide Squad with a very strong opening weekend.

There may not be a lot of common ground between fans and critics of Suicide Squad, but one thing we can all agree on is the quality of the closing credits. Those swirling patterns of color and character icons that played behind the names of the crew were probably more colorful and fun than the entire last 45 minutes of the movie combined. And whether you liked it, hated it, or fell somewhere in between (this last category applies directly to me), you probably walked away impressed with the manic energy actress Margot Robbie brought to the character of Harley Quinn. She was unquestionably the highlight of the film and one of the few things capable of uniting Suicide Squad fans and opponents alik

Angry DC Fans Start Petition to Shut Down Rotten Tomatoes, Good Grief
We’ve seen this before, and not even that long ago: Disgruntled DC fans railing against critics for negative reviews of a new film before it even hits theaters; before those fans have even seen the film for themselves. It happened with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and it’s happening again with Suicide Squad, as fans take to social media to bash critics for what they perceive to be unfair reviews based on personal bias against superhero films — or DC movies, specifically. But this time they have a petition and a misguided plan to solve this crisis in the film community.
