Tis the season to get haunted. But where in Illinois will we find the most haunted streets? Apparently online.

Once upon a time I was a really scared kid. I was scared of EVERYTHING on earth and you know what. I still am.

As an adult I'm a little more willing to dabble in scary things, if I have the right friends around to protect me.

I'm also not so scared of a virtual event, which is what Ghost Roads of Illinois actually is.

Ghost Roads of Illinois

This Facebook event, put on by Palos Heights Public Library, is happening next Thursday, October 28 at 6:30pm.

What's it all about?

The Facebook page describes the event with this info:

Throughout Illinois, legends abound of haunted happenings and eerie occurrences along the thoroughfares of the state. In this program, award-winning author and historian Dave Clark will take us on a virtual tour through the forgotten and haunted roads of Illinois.

The best part? This is next Thursday!

Halloween isn't until Sunday, which means you have PLENTY of time to enjoy the virtual program and then plan an actual haunted road trip for you and the fam during Halloween weekend. Or Hallo-weekend, like I like to call it.

And if you really want to get Haunted Illinois vibes this year, you can also check out the Springfield Hauntings Tours.

I am much too scared of everything to join you for that one, but the virtual stuff? I can totally handle that!
