Illinois Dad Orders Power Drill on Temu—Here’s What He Got Instead
Temu has been a bit of a rollercoaster for many people ever since it went viral for offering fast shipping and unbelievably cheap products.
Some love it, some hate it, and for others, it’s a game of chance.
I’ve loved reading all the “What I Ordered vs. What I Received” reviews because Temu is freaking ruthless sometimes! There are stories of people ordering full-size mattresses and getting tiny versions meant for a dollhouse. Bold, Temu. Very bold.
Now, it happened to my dad. It was only a matter of time.
After hearing all the hype, my dad decided to test his luck with Temu, thinking he'd snag a $46 power drill that looked pretty legitimate.
He was excited for it to arrive, but when the package showed up… low and behold, a power drill was NOT in the box.
You'll never guess what Temu sent him: a hot glue gun.
The instructions literally say "instructions for hot melt glue gun".
Honestly, I’m not surprised, but it is really funny that someone had the audacity to send the hot glue gun like nobody would notice.
Again, Temu’s hit-or-miss reputation struck again. They never fail to disappoint!
I guess the lesson here is: be careful when you’re testing your luck with these fast-fashion, low-cost sites. Temu better count its days, because when the expectations are this high, you’ve got to deliver. C'mon now.
