The Five Best Places To Celebrate National Nacho Day In Rockford

Look, if we're going to have a National Day of the Year every single day, at least we got one that makes total sense.

It's been an intense and stressful week for all of us. Election Day turned into Election Week, and now we need a break.

Thankfully, November 6 is officially National Nachos Day, one of the best comfort foods.

Since nearly every restaurant has some form of nacho on their menus it can be another tough decision on where we need to go in order to celebrate appropriately.

So I went to Yelp to see what was what, and I can't say I was surprised by what I found.

5. Fiesta Tequila Bar & Grill, 1060 West Riverside Boulevard

There are 7 different varieties of nachos on the menu at Fiesta Tequila Bar & Grill. Including Nachos Texanos with steak, chicken, and shrimp combined.

4. Los Portales, 805 East State Street

Tara T. on Yelp says  Los Portales has the "best tacos in rkfd. Hands down. Steak nachos are pretty superb too."

3. Anas Mexican Restaurant, 3222 South Alpine Road

On the menu at Anas a Nacho Supreme app containing "beans, choice of meat, melted cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and sour cream.:

Melissa N. on Yelp says she "especially enjoyed all of the extra toppings that are available for your taco, bowl, nachos, quesadilla, or burrito!"

One Yelp reviewer called the nachos at Lucha Cantina "amazing and not your average nachos."
